iPhone 7 Plus Home button question

I took my girlfriends iPhone 7 Plus screen to fix a customers. I put a beater one on my gfs phone and have her a few bucks lmao. Well the home button stopped sitting properly, long story short it just ripped out. I know these are not replaceable.

However is is it possible to solder the home button flex cable back together?

Rewa did come out with a special flex adapter called iMesa that allows you to solder the Home Button flex back together but this really depends on where the flex tore. This would be a pretty advanced micro-soldering repair and I don’t believe every shop has this on hand.

Thanks for the reply! I know who you are from being on these forums a lot. So I value your opinion. Do you know any mail in place I can get this done?

I’m going to pay off my girlfriends phone $114, so she can upgrade. Resale on it is $350 (7 Plus 32GB Unlocked). So even if I got to pay $150 on it it’s still a win lol

As for repair, look locally for a reputable shop that does micro-soldering repairs. Ideally, you want to find someone local but good workmanship trumps locality. There are many shops worldwide that do this so you shouldn't have any problems finding them.

If you can't find one locally, then consider mail-in repair. There are several reputable micro-solderers patrolling this forum. You can also click on my profile to learn more about my services, at the very least, it can serve as a data point.
