I dropped my phone everything works, but in one spot all it shows is the lcd, and I'm wondering if that broke on it everything works and all, but do I need a new phone

that is a broken glass and your AMOLED is still okay. Yes, eventually you do want to replace the dispaly assembly because it most likely will continue cracking and this will then cause your digitizer to stop working.

@mrdakota nobody knows. Could be in a day or could be in a year. Put a screen protector on to try and make it last longer.
