Superdrive g4 12 swap from PowerBook g4 17
I have a no longer working powerbook g4 17" and I want to know if I can remove that superdrive and install it on my powerbook g4 12"

I don't see a problem with doing that. Here's how to do it: PowerBook G4 Aluminum 12" 1-1.5 GHz Optical Drive Replacement
They both use the 12.7 mm drives and they are Interchangeable. Use the connector from the original machine in case they are different lengths.
