Swap high-res an low-res displays?

2 machines, same generation MBP 15" (MacBookPro6,2):

1) 2.66G i7, GT330M 512MB, 4GB RAM, standard glossy display

2) 2.4G i5, GT330M 256MB, 8GB RAM, hi-res antiglare display

Is it possible to simply swap the displays between these two machines to create a full-featured i7 and a more basic spec i5? Would it work just by swapping the display assembly (i.e., laptop cover), or do I have to mess with settings of the graphics, or are there any additional obstacles?

(BTW, the RAM should also fit both machines, right?)

Thanks, roneyg

Update: I did the swap according to ifixit instructions. It worked like a charm, both machines booted without a glitch after the transplant, no changing of any settings was required.

BTW, lacking the tri-wing screw driver, I only managed to remove the battery on one of the MBPs (the other one's screws were too tight). That may have been a bit risky, but it worked.
