No audio coming out of speakers on Mac OS Partition only

Ever since I Bootcamped my Mac the built-in speakers on the Mac OS partition do not work . I still hear the chime when the Macbook opens and the speakers work fine in the Windows partition but when using the latest version of OSX High Sierra, the only output device in the sound settings is headphones. When I plug in headphones and speakers, they both emit audio though.

I have tried killing coreaudiod, PRAM Reset, the other reset where you restart and hold down some buttons as well and sticking the plastic end of a ballpen inside the headphone port.

What should I do??

Answer this question I have this problem too

Your lucky! The 13” MacBook Air has the headphone jack on an easily replaceable assembly!

Here’s the IFIXIT guide to get to it: MacBook Air 13" Early 2015 I/O Board Replacement and here is the needed part: MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-2017) I/O Board

Basically the jack is damaged and will need to be replaced.

It works fine in Windows though ,why is that the case?

The jack has a switch which sounds like got damaged. Apple auto sets the output using the switch unlike Windows.

This happened to my macbook air early 2015 as well when I updated to the latest High Sierra (10.13.5 i believe). I tried all types of things to get it working. Last thing I did to get it to work is detailed below, but I can't say if it will work for you.

I went into activity monitor and ended com.apple.audio.SandboxHelper. Then in just worked
