water entered from underneath. by the battery. i was wondering if there is any way this could be fixed? when i put it to charge it shows that its charging but the computer itself wont turn on. the screen is not on.

Hi! The first thing to try is to test the memory. Often the edge of the memory modules becomes corroded when liquid enters the machine, and replacing the RAM, or even just cleaning it with rubbing alcohol and then powering it on trying one module at a time and one slot at a time (to test if a slot has been fried) can revive a water-damaged machine.
Also, I assume the computer has dried completely, but if not, definitely let it try before plugging it into the wall, or even connecting the battery. Connecting a wet or damp computer to power will fry the machine.

or water damage and look at solutions for Macbook. If you haven't let the book dry at least 72hrs before you connected the power and battery you more than likely blew the logic board.

I have the same problem! I tried you're advice and found that the fan starts working with ram module but not with both. However, it still won't power up. Is it possible that the 1gb of ram isn't enough to power on the computer? Maybe it can't boot up with an empty slot. I know nothing about this stuff and I'm considering going out to buy another stick to replace the damaged one. Am I wasting my time? Any other tips for revival?

idrymacs.com specializes in just this problem. I used them when my macbook pro got left in a car with a window down during a rain storm. I tried the rice thing but it only worked for about a week then started doing weird stuff and finally died. I sent to them with very low expectations and sure enough they sent it back working like nothing had ever happened. I was amazed. It was over a year ago and no problems since.
