Can I update the RAM in a mid-2013 MacBook Air?

Google says no, but asking here for more specific advise. It seems I have two slots each with 2GB of RAM for a total of 4GB. I would like to upfgrade to 8GB if possible?

Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade the RAM on a MacBook Air. It is soldered in place. (Src: https://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbo...)

If you have the 4 GB model, you can buy a 8GB logic board (MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-Early 2014) 1.3 GHz Logic Board) and replace it, using the step-by-step instructions at ifixit. Here is a link: MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Logic Board Replacement

I didn't think that it was replaceable either until I watched a video online of someone doing it. It required quite a bit of skill and experience (soldering, heating, etc.) but it was possible. I had a Mac store near me tell me they could upgrade the memory in my MBA mid-2013 from 4 to 8 gigs and I don't think it was by replacing the logic board. I think they said it would cost $150.
