Do you not have iPhoto installed on your iMac?

If your photo's are in the camera roll on your iPod simply open iPhoto then plug your iPod into your Mac with the data lead & iPhoto should give you the option to import.

If they are photo's that were synced onto the iPod from a different library then Phoneview would allow you to view & transfer your photo's from the iPod.

Open Image Capture or iPhoto and then connect your iPod. Either of these applications should allow you to import the photos to your computer.

Good luck!
