replaced screen on my iPhone 7+ and ever since the home button isn’t working
Is this something Apple insists on doing? If so how do I fix it and at what cost. Thanks

you have probably damaged the button when removing it from the old screen. you would need a phone technician / microsolderer to look at it

It isn’t the original home button though and I have heard that this can cause problems?
could be a faulty button or dependant on the ios the phone is on
Have apple stopped that fault where the button wouldn’t work if it isn’t the original one?
not sure, i think that was only for restore purposes but only a guess, try a different button to see if it works, if not could either be ios related or a board problem
