saftwere fryed can change module to save unit

i fryed sofeware in ipad. would to know if i can cgange moduale to save unit, and if so what would cost be. thanks for anny help. ciob12002@yahoo.com

chiob12002 when you say you fried the software, what happened to your iPad? How did you fry it?

by fryed ,i should say it will not fully come out of restore mode. itunes puts back everything then stops short of completion jest befor the ending

Are you trying to restore an older firmware? Such as 4.2? You need to restore the current firmware on the iPad (And other 3rd Generation+) devices, (Apple's way of preventing downgrading) You can download it here and install it by shift-clicking "restore" in iTunes, and selecting the file. Also, if the file you downloaded has a ".zip" extension, do not extract it. Change it to ".ipsw" and iTunes will reconize it.

I believe that the web browser changes the ".ipsw" extension to ".zip" automaticaly. iTunes will not open the .zip file, and extracting it will simply extract the contents of the firmware update file. You actually have to rename the file yourself, for iTunes to accept it.
