iPhone 7 Plus Display not Working

I swapped out the flex cable on my iPhone 7P. I tested it for functionality before closing the screen down and it worked fine. However, after attaching the screen, the phone wouldn't show anything on the screen except a bluish glow (see pics). The touch is working and it vibrates and sounds. But no images appear on the screen.

Pictures of the front and the back of the screen are attached. Does anyone know what's going on with my phone? Could it be the display itself, or the backlight filter?

You'll want to go back and check the connections to make sure they are properly inserted. Don't forget to disconnect the battery first! Also take a look at the connectors themselves to insure there aren't any broken pins.

I have checked the connectors twice to ensure they are properly seated. Also took a look at the connectors. Couldn't find any visible damage to the pins.

That looks definitely like the LCD is done. Have replaced heaps and that is usually what i see if the LCD is damaged.

I'm perplexed because the LCD never took a physical shock. So I'm guessing the screen is (at least physically) intact. However, I did notice two tiny spots of shimmering gold on the top (LCD) cable of the display. Wonder if that could have caused it.
