creating a clone of hard drive.

i just bought a ibook 1.43 ghz 60 GB hard drive and I want to upgrade the hard drive to 100 GB. The catch is since its a use computer it came software preloaded. I want to clone the hard dirve (inital) to the 100GB replacement . What is the best possible way to do that?

I second rab777hp's recommendation to use SuperDuper, it's an excellent and easy way to clone your drive. the software is free (paid version gets you some additional features like time-scheduled backups)

also, if you don't already have a spare external hard drive enclosure to temporarily mount your new 100GB drive, get yourself one of these inexpensive USB universal drive adapters

Use Disk Utility -> Restore the original onto the spare drive. It's drag and drop simple.
