Cable? Playback

I have two questions. 1) How do I play back burned DVD's. My superdrive reads them but can't seem to play downloaded and burned DVD's? 2)Can anyone send a link to the cable I would need to connect my Macbbook Early 2009 model to an external display like an LCD TV?

What cable you need depends on your TV's input options- what type of input does it have?

It has two HDMI inputs, 2 component vga, s-video, av input.

Here's a Mini-DVI to video adapter -- http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9267G... -- which has S-video and composite.

There are also Mini-DVI to HDMI cables out there that claim to be Mac compatible. I've never used one, so I can't vouch for it, but here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/Mini-Female-Video-...
