Hi,

You can repair it yourself if you wish to try.

Here is a link to the ifixit Samsung Galaxy S5 Micro-USB Port Daughterboard Replacement guide.

The replacement part is available online. Just search for Samsung Galaxy S5 micro usb daughterboard part to get results for suppliers that suit you best.

If repairing the phone seems too daunting to you, I suggest that you contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote to repair the phone. You will already know the cost of the replacement part. ;-)

If you do decide to get it repaired professionally, (or even if you decide to do it yourself) ensure that you have a backup of your phone's data, e.g. pictures etc, just as a safeguard in case of worst case scenario and something goes awry. At least you will have your data.

But where is this reputable, professional mobile phone repair service in Sydney?

Hi,

Try this link. Can't get more official than Samsung's own service centres. Click on Mobile Device on left of page

Alternatively Google "Samsung mobile phone repairs Sydney", find results then look up reviews for the repairer you choose.
