There is no hard drive. It all stored on the board.

Yes, from 6 and 6 plus are interchangeable. As Mayer explained, they are part of the motherboard and require Microsoldering and programming with a tool like Naviplus Pro 3000 to program your existing NAND (HDD) serial number and MAC addresses to the New Hard drive.
