My camera was rained on. Is there a guide to take it apart and fix it

looking to take apart my camera and replace anything water damaged....wanted to do myself to learn how to repair my own camera without paying 300 to 500 from canon

Hi,

Here is a link to the ifixit Canon EOS 60D guide.

Be sure to use IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) 90%+ to clean and disperse any moisture from the electronic components etc.

First thing is to remove the battery and leave it off until you have throughly dried out the device.

If the camera fails to come to life...it might be worth using the same method mobile phone repairers use..bathing the logic board in iso alcohol.if this fails to rectify the problem...be aware....

Canon logic boards have two sets of fast blow fuses...which means generally only one will blow.there is information on google as to the location of these mini fuses.
