How to compare MacBook topcase serial number with logic board

How do I find out that topcase (serial number) and logic board are matching? Is the serial number also patched on the logic board? If yes, where?

Thanks for any advice.

Write down the S/N on the case then boot the computer and click on "About this Mac". Once open click on the button " More Info". At the bottom right side of the Hardware Overview that will display will the Serial Number. If they match then you can feel sure the board came with the computer or at least was changed by Apple or a Major Repair co.

Thx for the advice. But I'm looking for a solution w/o turning on the Macbook. Is there any label on the logic board that matches with the label on the topcase?

by

You can't without booting up.

Correct: No Boot / No Serial Number sticker on board.
