Magsafe Power Cable to Power Supply?

Hello,

My Magsafe 1 85W broke down. I have the idea to desolder the cord from the magsafe pcb and attach it to my regulated dc power supply (max 30V & 10A). I would set it up to 16.5V... is that possible at all? I know there is a lot of stuff in those magsafes.

Thanks!

I think its just more useful to replace the MagSafe charger with a real Apple one.

Given all thats inside the charger I don't think you can replicate it.

If you take the battery out and connect the power supply through the logic board directly then it makes sense. This is how a tech works on systems.

It's not very practical from a use perspective.

I am working on a repair of the logicboard. I need to power only the board. Just worried about that maybe some signals are not transfered without the magsafe. I think i should buy an original used charger on ebay...
