Home button replacement Touch id

If I want to replace the home button and the old one has a Touch ID .cant I create another Touch ID for the new one or cancel the old Touch ID and create new one for the new home button ?

No, I'm sorry to say. Only the original home button will have the touch ID function. any replacement button you buy will work as a home button but not touch ID. The original has a Chip that links it to your mother (Logic) Board.

If I changed the whole screen with the home button will that make a different


I mean get a new screen including its home button


@sallynsamir If you keep your original home button with the New Screen, yes.


The problem is that the button broken


then you have lost your touch id, but not lost the use of the home button with a replacement button. Another wonderful thing about Apple Engineering :(
