It's the issue with the bad tantalum capacitor that needs to be replaced with a solid state one if I recall correctly.

Graphics not switching properly between the nvidia dedicated graphics and intel integrated graphics causing kernel panics.

I might add this is an easy repair for someone who has the correct tools and skills. This is on the edge of most DIY'ers.

To prove the issue is the capacitor you can force the system to use the Intergraded graphics using this tool: gfxCardStatus if the system is stable then you've proved it.
