What is the name of this power cord?
There is a flat, black power cord/ribbon that runs underneath my hard drive. I was told this component is broken, but I don't know what it is called.

It's the hard drive/IR cable

You can get the one without braces and save a bit. Look at where the cable comes over that last step and see if you can discern any marks on it. That's where it damaged. I use a little piece of Scotch extreme mounting tape (it's thick) on either side of the cable to prevent the bottom case from impacting it.
