Logic Board Swapping to Access Memory

Hello,

The case is my IPhone 4S has many broken parts, the screen broke, home button not functioning, battery died and charging port is probably broken.

I am trying to recover my data but the phone won't turn on, but I know it's still working because last month I was able to access it briefly (while it's broken like that).

Would it be possible to switch the logic board to access the phone?

And I mean that, can I take the logic board from the broken phone and place it in a new phone (of the same type) and gain my data from it that way?

or should I try replacing all the broken parts?

Any advice is appreciated and thank you in advance.

Yes, you can swap the board into a different phone and "should" work based on what you are describing. It would be cheaper to perform a repair on that device. You can buy a battery, screen and charging port for pretty cheap.

You could also look around for a whole phone that you could simply out the old board into if you can find one cheaper then that parts are.

Start with a battery if you don't want to buy all the parts to confirm it'll turn on with a new battery.

Basing on where I live, it would be easier to buy a phone and replace the inside.

Thank you for the response.
