LGExtravert which dropped in water

I have an LGExtravert which dropped in water. I put it in rice and did turn it on - I wish I had seen all this before I did. It turned on and I could see water in the screen. Now it turns on but the screen is black. I see recommendations to disassemble the phone. How do I do that? Also, I used a blow dryer because someone recommended it and it seemed logical (seems like I did everything wrong!

Will I be able to save the screen? The phone does turn on, ring, etc. I just can't see anything.

I wonder why that happen.... Anyways, back to the problem phone. So rice doesn't actually do anything to protect or fix your phone. I don't care what they said on CSI Miami. You'll want to remove the logic board, and give it a good cleaning with 90% isopropyl alcohol. Anything lower won't really do what you want it to do. You could get away with a toothbrush and doing this. It really needs an ultrasonic bath

Here's a guide

Electronics Water Damage

If you can find out which mode of lg phone you have, we can probably find you a guide or video to help you remove the logic board. All of this is assuming you want to do it yourself. My advice, take it to a shop a good shop, that has an ultrasonic bath

Ook thanks uncle, I didn't put two and two together. Here's a guide on how to get your logic board out. Terrible name for a phone

@theimedic sounds good but I think the main issue here is "to disassemble the phone. How do I do that?"

Well I don't know without the model of the phone. Also where did your comment go!?! I just saw it and tried to click like!

Oh, crap it's an xtravert? Jk jk hold on

by

@theimedic had to delete it since I have the service manual for the Extravert but not the disassembly instructions. I guess I should try and get a broken one and tear it down:-)

I've noticed a lot of guides I should be making
