How to attach loose case behind display?

my macbook pro 13" late 2011 case is loose behind the display. I went to genius bar and they told me that they need to change the whole display since it is one part (the case and the screen)

it cost a lot considering no function is disrupted, it is only the matter of aesthetic.

Update (02/23/2017)

its kind of separating like this

its not affecting any function at all. and its not flapping all the time, its just a matter of aeathetic for myself

When you say the case is loose behind the display, are you talking about the whole display assembly being loose, the metal cover separating from the glass or the black plastic cover at the bottom, or something else?

It can be glued using epoxy glue, but it will likely come separated again. The best option may be to replace the whole lid.

The reason this happens is due to hot air from the MacBook blowing onto the bottom of the display, where most of the glue is. The glue softens, causing the frame to separate from the lid.

I have not seen this on a 2011 before, are you sure you haven't got an older model? The older models are more likely to have this fault, since the aluminium frame assembly is not one piece with the back lid. You may be able to use heat resistant glue to resolve this, but it will probably not be a permanent fix, so I would recommend swapping the lid.
