Can I put late 2012 A1466 logic board in early 2015 Air?

I have slight corrosion on my logic board. Can I place a different model year logic board, but same model (a1466), in my MacBook Air?

Sadly, there is enough physical differences that make this just not worth the effort. Besides, the lower performance of the older series would make this less desirable.

Best to get the correct part (used) or look at getting a new system and selling this one for parts.

That was my biggest concern. If there was any difference in the screw placement(etc.) in the logic boards within the same model (a1466). Thank you
