Is it possible to copy music from itunes to a third party MP3 player.

You can also use doubetwist (doubletwist.com) to sync music from your library to almost any mp3 player or smartphone.

Yes, the actual files are stored in your home folder under:

Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Music. They are then sorted by Album.

If your music is copy protected, this may not work.

Thanks QE. Thats the problem im having that most of my music was purchased through itunes, so i believe that i cant drag and drop into 3rd party MP3 player, only into my iphone. QE U SEEM TO HAVE PLENTY OF EXPERIENCE. I NEED U TO ANSWER MY NEXT QUESTION.

And about the music bought through iTunes, before the removal of DRM from the store, all music could only be played on iPods, however if you burn your music to a cd, and then rip it back into iTunes, the DRM will be removed.
