No lcd light at all

Hi there

I have been working on an iPhone 5 today and regardless of how many different lcd I put on it, there is no light in the lcd. When I plug it into my MacBook I can restore it. Why is the lcd not lighting up, the connector seems to look fine ( no damage ) so far that I can see.?..

Use a flashlight, try to see if you can see the apple logo or home screen. You likely need to replace the backlight diode and or filter. You'll likely need to send it to a professional board repairshop. I hear iPad Rehab does good work

If you can see a dim image then most likely one or more filters have been blown. That or your diode needs replacing. If you can't see any image most likely your backlight driver ic needs replacing.
