I replaced the fan, now the keyboard and monitor are not working?

I replaced the fan on my Macbook, it was noisy and computer was overheating. I followed the instructions of the iFixit guide. The keyboard stopped working and monitor would flash and go black. I replaced the keyboard but it made no difference. I've held the power key down to reset the PRAM, but it won't beep (to signify the reset). Is the any other way to reset the PRAM? Any other suggestions as to how to fix, what I screwed up?

To reset the PRAM you need to hold down "cmd+option+p+r". Taking out the battery/unplugging the power then holding the power button for 5 seconds will reset the smc

Thanks for the quick feedback;

Tried to reset PRAM and SMC. Still nothing, but since there is no power to the keyboard, is there another way to reset the PRAM? I held the power button down with battery and unplugged no beep, so I'm assuming the SMC reset didn't work. I checked all the cables for pinching and loose connections and checked for debris in the socket, blew it out, still nothing. Any other suggestions?

When you reset the smc, you won't here or see anything. I usually hold down the powe button for 7-10 seconds just to be sure. I also agree with the pinched cable statement, go double check all the connectors.

The display data cable runs just to the right of the right fan. It's probably been pinched or slightly pulled out of its socket. The keyboard needs to be reseated and taped in place. Check the socket for any debris that might have gotten it it.

I actually managed to partly kill a MB logicboard by having dust in the topcase connector :(

No more keyboard or trackpad. I'd try a pram reset with an external keyboard. Otherwise i agree with Mayer, check the LVDS cable seating.
