2010-2012 MBP 120.000 - 7200mAh Battery inside MacBook Pro late 2008

Hello guys,

My Macbook pro late 2008 needs a new Battery. I found multiple Options on Amazon but i the 5000mAh are just not enough. Im wondering if:

1. Would a battery from a Macbook pro 2010, 2011, 2012 fit inside it?

2. Would the Connector cable be long enough and have the right pins?

I know that the Original design has a protruding connector that sticks out of the bottom case which fits inside a slit of the battery. But you can remove that one and this connector is connected via a cable to the logic board.

Also i have removed the DVD drive and replaced it with a second SSD. If i remove the first SSD from its designated place, could i fit a Macbook pro 17" 120.000mAh battery inside? The length and width of the Battery should fit inside it if i look at the Specs on amazon.

Im on the road quite a lot and i would need the maximum of Battery life.

Does anyone have any experience? Does anyone have the probability to try it out and give some feedback?

Due to the connectors on this battery, it will be extremely difficult to try to adapt a different type of battery for your model. In my opinion, almost impossible. So I would go with the best one you can find and get two.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. My Model is a1286, The battery you linked is the battery with the original Design. If you look at this tutorial to remove the Battery Cable you see that the connector is actually a 9 Pin connector,

This is a "Hybrid" battery that seems to work for both 2008 and 2009 models using the 9pin connector on the Logic board.
