Is the ssd upgradeable on MacBook Pro 15" with Touch Bar
I purchased a 256 GB model, and wish to upgrade SSD.
Is that possible?
Is this a good question?

The SSD is soldered to the motherboard. You will have to return it and get the one you wish or do some very risky de-soldering which has a 1% success rate.

IMHO it is not soldered. I saw some openbox videos on 13' model. Are you sure?
Yes! The Touch Bar version systems both have soldered RAM & SSD. Only the new function key model has a removable SSD and its a different interface than what Apple had been using.
Gotta return it!!
Get buyers remorse. Take it back and get the model you need or you may be stuck with it for a couple of years until OWC comes up with a replacement. See their blog here:

@mayer - Sorry the new touch version MacBooks Pro's don't have a removable SSD! Here's the poop: 15-Inch MacBook Pro With Touch Bar Has Non-Removable SSD The 13" is no different.
The new function key version 15" MacBook Pro Does have a replaceable SSD! But, its still a different interface than the older SSD's Apple has been using. Which is what your link is about.

But, could someone un-solder it and replace it that way? Are the parts out there? Just curious...
