replaced cracked screen and battery why cant I get any power?

months ago after letting small amounts of water get into my cracked 5s, the screen completely died on me. now ive finally decided to replace it. after installing new screen i tested it to make sure it would come on it and it didnt. so i put the old one back on to see if it would come on and it didnt, not until i plugged the phone up to the charger.

so i seen the back light come on and disconnected it assuming it was just dead so i finished the installation. i plugged in the charger and the only thing i get is the charging battery icon then the white apple screen appears and it just cycles and cycles. it never actually fully boots up. when i unplug the charger i get no power at all. i replaced the battery and im getting the same issue. i need some advice and possible solutions

Do you know how to test for voltage near your u2 ic? I would check two things on the board if you have a microscope. First there is a series of small components near your battery connector ( 7 to be exact). 6 are capacitors and 1 is a filter I believe. Make sure all are accounted for. Occasionally I've ran into one or more of these missing and the phone won't charge.

If all are there move to the u2 tristar ic or charging ic. This basically controls charging. Make sure it's getting correct voltage (don't have it off the top of my head). If it isn't I would replace or have someone replace it.

If you've tried both of these as well as ruled out battery and charging port could be an issue with pmic.

@stephenelliot He probably doesn't have access to all of this remember you are not answering to techs your answering to customers. Jaymoung Have you backup your iPhone recently? If not I will Suggest you to visit a reputable repair shop on Yelp by your zip code and have them take a look for you
