i have a small black dot in the top enter of my desplay. how can i get

how can i get read of a black dot in the top center of my mac book desplay ?

That method probably won't work in this case. It seems as if alex price has a dead pixel (black), not a stuck pixel (red, green, blue, or a combination of these).

Sometimes it's hard to tell which one it is (different shades) so I figure its always worth an easy try with software, instead of jumping ahead to the conclusion it's a dead pixel, which needs physical relief. 7-9/10 I find people have stuck pixels, not dead pixels, so its much easier to start there and then progress to dead ones.

Try some software such as JScreen fix to fix stuck pixels.
