I Burned my Hard drive

Hello,

Last week I wanted to Eject my hard drive from my MacBook, but I accidentally choose to Burn the hard drive instead of Eject. Therefore, the hard drive did not show again. So is there any way i can get it back?

Thank you.

Update (07/15/2016)

Thankfully I was able to get my hard disk back but all of the data have been deleted :(

And I am now trying iSkysoft Data Recovery, but I am not sure if this will help me get my data back or not.

although, thank you Dan for your help :)

I should point out adding any application or alteration of anything on your drive could damage the missing files!

Its best to boot from another bootable disk or if you can setup the system in Target Mode and connect it to a second Mac system via FireWire or Thunderbolt cable, you can then access it from the second Mac run the file recovery program. Here we are running the system from a different drive (or system) so the drive in trouble can't damaged any further.

The Burn "<disk name>" to Disk command shouldn't have damaged your internal drive as it just images (copies) the files from your drive (named) to a CD/DVD disk if you have it installed in the optical drive, otherwise it will offer you a message to install the CD/DVD disk and at that point you can cancel the action.

Are you able to boot up your system at all?
