Logic board replacement unlock process
My current iPhone 4S (AT&T) was unlocked by the carrier. If I purchase a new "locked" logic board how do I go about having it unlocked again since the IMEI number will be the same?
Is this a good question?

If you buy another att locked board, it will have a new imei and you will go through the same unlock process you did the first time. https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/

I really doubt buying another logic board will give you the same imei as the one you have now.

Is the IMEI related to the phone itself or the logic board?
Every logic board has its own unique imei.
An imei is a unique number identifier.
The logic board IS the phone, like your brain is you, the rest is not that useful.
I understand it is the brain of the phone, that's just "logic". I was just trying to figure out if it was possible to get it unlocked as my phone currently is.
