iSight camera not working

Hello all,

I have an inconvenient problem the Macbook Air 11 Early 2015 iSight camera seems not to work when I use FaceTime all I get is a black screen with a blinking LED by the camera.

i did a system reset but nothing happened

I need a final solution

Some answers talk about the Cable connected between the iSight camera and logic board is not connected

Please help!

This machine may still be under warranty or if it's just out Apple may allow you to add AppleCare. What's the purchase date? If you don't remember go here and input your serial number. If you registered it it my show if it is still covered: https://checkcoverage.apple.com

Using this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Air 11" Early 2015 Display Replacement Follow the first group of steps (Steps 1 thru 3). Then jump down to Step 7 making sure its connected.

If you see any damage due to dampness you may need to clean the logic board and connector with a moist cotton swab with a good quality isopropyl alcohol (85% or better).

If that doesn't fix it I suspect your iSight camera is bad and that will require replacing the full lid assembly unless you can find someone with the needed skills and parts to replace the camera unit from a junker system.
