Trackpad and Keyboard not working still after replacement
Purchased a 15 MBP 2011 where the keyboard / trackpad aren't working.
I replaced the keyboard and trackpad today and still the problem persists. The laptop is not recognizing the keyboard at all as the request to pair a bluetooth keyboard keeps popping up.
The ribbon cable on the original keyboard looked find and I was careful when removing / inserting the cable. Also, will the trackpad not work if the keyboard ribbon socket is bad? You'd think they'd be independent?
When I replaced the keyboard / trackpad I obviously replaced both cables. Both new keyboard and trackpad were tested working.
Is there something else on the logic board that cause this to fail? Possible software at all?
External keyboard/mouse work fine. Thanks!
Is this a good question?

Possibly USB controller? Try cleaning the logic board? Any thoughts would be great.
