Running slow and the fan is loud.

Below is the problem report. I have tried the SMC reset, and I deleted Chrome.

What happens when you go into single user mode?

Have you tried starting up under the recovery partition to reinstall the OS?

by

It might help to know which MBA this is, and what OS X you are running, when the fan is loud and a history instead of posting PITA kernel panic results. About a 2014 13" ?

by

Mayer it's one of these: MacBookAir6,2

Start by trying to reset the P-Ram(cmd,opt,P, R). If this doesn't help boot it holding option and throw it into recovery mode, back up your files and reinstall os x. Should be a fix. If this doesn't work its the logic board itself.

@David - Kernel Panic's are mostly software issues (OS or App), rarely hardware. If it was hardware it would be the HD or SSD corruption. I doubt resetting the PRAM would fix things here. Re-installing the OS would fix the OS if it was damaged.

by

That's true, although in my experience sometimes this can fix the aforementioned issue. Kpe's develop from a variety of issues, and sometimes they can just be a sign that the p ram itself is overloaded. It could also be as minute an issue as dust buildup in the machine. The steps I gave were just a few initial non intrusive diagnostic devices I use to try to resolve underlying issues.
