Why is my 2009 iMac making a clicking sound?

My 2009 iMac is making a faint clicking (or knocking) sound. I thought this was the sound of the hard drive was going bad, so I replaced it with a solid state drive. It is still making this sound after installing the SSD. You can hear the regular click in this video. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2921...

Update (02/01/2016)

Upon closer inspection it appears that the fan on the bottom right side (behind the screen) is attempting to power up but can't. Every time it tries to start it makes that clicking sound. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2921...

Strange sound. Try starting up and holding down the trackpad button to see if you can get a disk to eject. Also, is there a specific reason you changed hard drives? Getting beachballs?

Thanks for the reply, @mayer. Before replacing drives I tried to upgrade to a newer version of OS X, and the install failed. At the same time I noticed that clicking sound, so I thought the HDD was pooping out. I will check to see if it's the DVD drive. That would be hilarious if it is!
