The letter I and K on my mac book dont work but every other letter does is there any way I can run a diagnostics test on my macbook to see If the letters aren't registering on the keyboard for some reason?

I don't believe that there are any diagnostics software than can specify exactly why those keys aren't working. I recommend you remove the topcase and reseat the ribbon cable that connects to the logic board. That failing, remove the keys in question and check the mechanisms for debris or damage.
