How to safely erase my iPhone 5S?

The iPhone 5S is still in good condition and runs pretty fast even with iOS 9.1. However, I planned to sell it out coz I bought an 6S this week to replace the old one. You know technology develops dramatically, i don't whether the deleted data would be recovered by others. So is there any reliable wiping tool available to permanently delete all the content and settings on my iPhone 5S.

Well, if you want to completely eliminate all traces of data on your iPhone 5s, iOS Data Wiper could be a good choice, it provides four erasing options to ensure all deleted data were overwritten and erased without the possibility of recovery by any practical software or hardware methods. In this post, we'll show you how to permanently erase everything from iPhone before selling.

"Erase all settings" means  the way you have personalized your iPhone in the settings app will be restored to the way it was when the device was turned on for the first time. It does NOT mean the device will be completely erased, as Apple insists certain applications and default settings remain on the device. What is erased are the things that make the device YOURS.

So, to completely erase your data from iPhone without recovery, I suggest you try some data eraser app like Safewiper, CCleaner.

Safewiper is an erasing app or something else?

No. "Erase all content and settings" option guarantees physical erasing of the file system key, which causes all files to be destroyed.

There are programs and services that can go in and collect the data without the key. A quick search and some verification ill find you plenty of them. https://www.fields-data-recovery.com/?gc...

All of them are bullshit, at least for iPhone. Just try for yourself.

Solid state drive, oh yes there is. There are a lot of articles on this topic but short of driving a nail through he memory card (this will keep everyone but the government out) there are ways.
