Need a replacement screen

I need to replace my screen. I just want to make sure I buy the correct replacement screen. Thanks

I have a macboodk Model A1181.

Are you replacing the whole screen assembly with the casing (Apple logo on back) or are you going to disassemble the assembly and replace just the LCD panel?

I would do whatever is easiest. I didn't know replacing just the LCD panel was an option.

I found a screen on ebay but it said it was a CCFL backlight screen, NOT LED type screen. I just need to find out if this screen will work on my macbbook.

You have one of the original 2006 Macbook Core Duo (i.e. NOT Core 2 Duo)?

As far as I know the LCD panel itself is the same between 2006 to 2008. There are at least 3 makers of the screens (I think Samsung, LG, and someone else) but they are interchangeable. I buy new displays from a company in BC and I usually end up getting Samsung displays. The processs to change them is a bit involved... probably not for those who have never worked on Macbooks before.

Here is the part and the guide to change it. You can do the bare display too, but iFixit doesn't have a guide for it on this model.
