AC adapter 60W MaGsave donct charge. NO 6.8V cable OK?

MacBook 2008 MagSave stopped charging.

CAble OK but Adapter wont give required 6,8V, nothing.

Warms a bit but not mutchs.

Needs repair. Is it possible DIY* any common faults

Thanks alot Of your trouble to answer to my Littellin problem.

Yes I tried to Have a closer look Of The pins and their free movement, ok, cleaned them and also on Mac end. No life on pins. With another charger all works.

Finally I Cut The chord and mesured voltage on The two wires ( shield and inner wire) no voltage.

Seems The Fault Is In The adapter?

Is it worth for DIY Man try to fix?

Opened The cover and had a visible look but no burnings or el. Smell..

I take it you have tested the output pins with a multimeter. Here are the repair guides: Apple AC Adapter Repair

Make sure the pins (which are retractable) are extending fully. I use a wooden tooth pick to test.

Most of the time the case gets destroyed when opening the things. It just about takes a Mac truck running them over to open and there are few replaceable parts unless the issue is with the cable.

The pin out voltages are only on pins 2 & 4 and are listed on the right side of this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagSafe
