ipad mini 1 half of the screen doesn't work

The left side of my iPad mini doesn't work. It will not respond when I click on it. What part do I need to replace to fix my problem? Do I need to replace the LCD?

If you can see the image just fine, but have no touch on one side of your screen, you need to replace your digitizer. iPad mini digitizers are very finicky and all the eBay/Amazon ones are notoriously crap. Expect to spend $40-$50 for a quality iPad mini digitizer.
