Adhesive used on glass

Is there a different adhesive used on the white screens compared to the black screens? I seem to have a much tougher time trying to get the black glass to separate from the digitizer then the white screen.

You would be correct in thinking this, yes they have different adhesives. The one on the black screens are much stronger.

My question is, why are you doing glass replacements on an iPhone 4S? You can get the LCD/digitizer combo cheap enough these days. :-)

Me and friend started a recycling center and had someone bring us a bunch to recyle. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for removing the glass, like a higher temp or different cutting wire.

They're made by different manufacturers.

Using cutting wire to seperate any glass is pointless, try using playing cards.

I've got an LCD sepertor and cutting wire and it never gets used

Can you point me to a tutorial where they show how to use the playing cards, thanks!
