SOLVED: flashing question mark within a folder upon starting computer - iBook G4 12" 800 MHz-1.2 GHz

flashing question mark within a folder upon starting computer

I replaced the optical drive and installed a new Airport card and now when I power the iBook up, there appears a flashing question mark alternating with a old mac profile. Any thoughts?

Options

Hi, The first thing I'd do is make sure the hard drive cable is secure. After that you can follow this troubleshooting chart from Apple. I've included the link. Good luck. Ralph
