replacing crack LCD screen in the lid assembly

I have just come across with this teardown guide:

MacBook Pro Retina Display Teardown

I have a faulty LCD screen, which I have found a hairline crack at the bottom left. I came across with LCD-only units on aliexpress.

Suppose if I don't want to spend money on a full lid assembly, then I can follow the above mentioned teardown guide up to step 8. However, how can I put the new LCD screen onto the gutted lid? Do I need adhesive? Or is the LCD screen held by screws to the lid?

Also how can I put back the black plastic seal?

Thx!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Mayor, How are you doing behind the mask?

@ABCellers, you're really getting paranoid. If there are any questions about me using fake names ask @kyle to check the ISPs. I don't have time for that kind of thing, nor do I have a reason to. I also do not appreciate the accusations. I mean this guy joined in 2014 and has only asked three questions in two years.

Taking apart is easy - reassembly is what we get paid for!

Thanks for this video link. It shows how delicate this assembly is.

Does the Macbook Pro retina use Gorilla glass? At the moment the retina screen is really delicate.

Hopefully in the near future, they can solve the problems of burn-in and short blue LED life, and make AMOLED acceptable for the retina screen. This will dramatically simplify the physical structure of the screen, and make the screen much more rugged.
