How can I install mac os x snow leopard in my computer?

I have the cd of snow leopard, i want to install it into my MacBook, can some body send me step by step of how to install it, i feel like i can mess up my mac. i want to do it in the rigth way

use the snow leopard installation instructions from apple - i think it's the best guide you can get
