Will the 2010 MBPro Screen fit a 2011 MacBook?

I need to replace the display on my Late-2011 macbook, and both time and money are at a premium. I've found an affordable example which will arrive in good time but it's from the 2010 model MacBook, and mine's the late 2011.

Will this screen fit, and work?

I got around this problem by taking the glass from the 2010 keeping the 2011 assembly painful long process but works .

Chosen Solution

LCD, yes.

Full assembly, no.

2008 A1278 model uses an LCD assembly with the sleep magnet on the other side than the 2009/2010/2011.

2009 assembly and 2010 assembly are same thing, but wifi wire is 1 or 2mm shorter on one vs. the other.

2011/2012 assembly use different webcam, different webcam cable. Also these do not have wifi card in the lid, and they use a different wifi antenna which will not fit in the clutch cover.

So LCD, yes. Glass, yes. Entire ASSEMBLY, no.
