How do I fix the battery connection after spill?

I spilled on my MacBook and now it can only sometimes turns on when plugged into charger. The battery is not being recognized by the MacBook, and the light on the charger is always orange (used to be dim green).

Is there anyway to fix this issue without replacing something? Or do I definitely need to replace the battery connector? Can I even try to find out if it can be fixed without replacing something? I think I'll also have to check out the AC connector to see if it is loose or something and only sometimes gets power from the charger.

Any tips? Thanks so much.

Well if you have an amber light it means your Magsafe Board is operational, which is good. What measures did u take after the spill? I would try to replace that battery with a known good one and see what happens. If the problem persists then I would try the battery connector or the Magsafe board, just to be sure. The water damage could have caused more mayhem inside your machine, but it won't hurt to try these trouble-shooting steps just to rule some things out.

If the battery connector is all you have to replace you would be lucky. If the mac turns on only sometimes you probably have more internal damage. Where exactly did the liquid spill?
