USB port replacement issue

I am in the process of replacing the USB assembly...in the process the white "buttons" for stack and back came off with the adhesive surrounding the area. I don't know how they were exactly assembled, and I tried to put them back in place, but am unsure if it is correct.

Nothing in any of the pictures I have found online show what they should look like, and no repair tutorials (even ifixit) mention anything important about it.

I am concerned that this will be a problem. My new part should be here in a matter of hours, but I am unsure if these are inculuded in the part.

Is there something I should do to remedy this or is it included in the usb assembly?

The two soft keys are included in the USB assembly such as http://www.witrigs.com/oem-charging-port..., so don't need to worry too much.
